Welcome Week 2026

During Welcome Week
- Attend assigned orientation and Residence Life activities.
- Walk every class route and locate the exact classroom.
- Open every available Halo course and read the syllabus.
- Find one quiet study location and one group-work location.
- Attend at least one small or recurring activity where you can meet people again.
- Meet the RA, Resident Director or commuter-support contact who can route questions.
- Confirm dining, transportation and office hours that may differ during Welcome Week.
- Protect sleep, meals, class preparation and recovery time instead of joining every event.
First-week academic rules
- Attend every face-to-face class.
- Complete the required attendance or participation activity in Halo for each course when applicable.
- Read every syllabus and put deadlines into one calendar.
- Confirm required books, access codes, software and supplies before opening nonreturnable materials.
- Save professor contact information and office hours.
- Confirm approved accommodations in every course.
