Lost GCU ID
- Secure any account, payment or building-access feature connected to the ID.
- Check the GCU Student app for the available mobile-ID option.
- Contact Public Safety or Lost and Found to ask whether the physical ID was turned in.
- Verify the current replacement location, identification requirement and fee before going.
- Report suspected theft rather than treating it as ordinary lost property.
Lost room key or access fob
- Contact the RA, RD or Residence Life immediately.
- Follow the current lockout or replacement process.
- Do not post the room number and missing-key details publicly.
- Report suspected theft or unsafe access to Public Safety.
Lost phone, tablet or laptop
- Use the device maker’s official locate or lock service when it was already enabled.
- Remotely lock the device and display safe return instructions when possible.
- Secure GCU, email, banking and payment accounts if the device may be unlocked or compromised.
- Contact the cellular provider for a missing phone when appropriate.
- Contact Public Safety for campus lost property or suspected theft.
- Preserve the serial number, device description, location and time for a report.
